King County Local Voters Pamphlet

  As a School Board Member of Skykomish School District #404, I will work to maintain those programs and processes that contribute to student achievement and change those that are not. I am committed to public education and believe that knowledge is the key to future success. I am interested in making sure that the Skykomish School remains viable and open to serve the students of our community.

  With the Washington State Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) system in place it is imperative that all students continue to improve their scores in all areas. Improvements have been made in the literacy areas and now it is time to develop a plan for improving student achievement in math and science. I will work with other board members, school staff, and the community to make sure that students graduate from our high school prepared to continue with their education or enter the workplace.
