My priority is to continue working toward providing excellent public schools where all children thrive personally and learn at the highest academic levels. Our progress shows improved test and assessment results, increased enrollments in rigorous classes, reduced dropout rates, increased district enrollment, and local and national recognition of our schools. We have more clearly identified the skills and knowledge that every student should receive and work to hold our organization accountable for that by: ongoing assessment of all student learning, quality professional development, adequate material and support for classrooms, effective budgeting, specific evaluations of all personnel and constant analysis of programs. The Bellevue community supported our levy with a 79% yes vote and also bonds for many new schools. Due to good fiscal management the financial institutes have given us the highest district fiscal rating in the state. We will continue to work for stable, adequate state funding.
