Nancy
Backus, Auburn City Councilmember, has a B.S. in Accounting, and is a Financial
Accountant for The Boeing Company. She brings fiscal integrity and experience,
and believes government accountability is imperative! She has an excellent
work ethic, and strong moral values.
Nancy's prime concerns are:
Traffic.
Nancy is working to obtain the outside
resources to plan and construct roads to reduce traffic congestion in Auburn. Local road maintenance is also a
priority to Nancy.
Neighborhood
Safety.
Nancy is working to make sure that money is available to
maintain our excellent Fire and Police protection - essential to safe
neighborhoods.
Effective
Growth Management.
Nancy is planning our future to make sure Auburn maintains that great "small town
feeling."
Nancy is on Auburn's King
County Library System Board; President - Miss Auburn Scholarship Program; and
volunteers with other organizations. Nancy,
husband Kemon, and 5 year-old daughter Alexis are proud residents of Auburn.
