  PJ will bring a new perspective and clear vision to the School Board. She will bring innovative ideas, analytical processes, and sound fiscal decision-making experience to assist the district in reaching new heights. Her character is guided by a high code of ethics and respect.

  Her participation on district committees includes Strategic Planning, Superintendent Search, and Calendar Review. PJ is currently serving her second term on the Carnation Site Team.

  PJ and her husband, Cliff, have three children attending district schools and programs. They operate a software training company. PJ earned her BA in Communications.

  "I want to assist our district in raising the bar in standards of academic excellence and character. I will be a voice for the families of our school district," states Hanks. "My experience as a parent, on district committees, in business, and in the community will make me a welcomed member of the Board."

  Educating children is my passion. Pursuing this passion, I've served as your school board member for the past eight years. I advocated for early childhood education, alternative learning, technology, and high standards. It is an honor to be a member of this board - committed to students, staff, and our community. 

  I believe firmly in strategic planning. Our current plan positions Riverview to raise test scores, improve communication, and continue a path toward excellence. Our board is fiscally responsible, advocates for continued improvement, and engages the community to support our students. We have all the ingredients for success - fine teachers, great administrators, wonderful parents, a committed community, and hard working students. We are strategically positioned to achieve the highest standards of learning for our students. We will continue this course.
