King County Local Voters Pamphlet

  Children are our present and future. The most important investment we can make to our community is education.

   I have been involved with school leadership teams, served on a district safety committee, worked as a parent-teacher coordinator, tutored ESL students and received the Golden Acorn Award for my work as a PTA President.

  Our community is growing very quickly. While we concentrate on the present, we must plan for the future. I will bring new perspective and fresh ideas to the Board and use my ability to effectively communicate to ensure that information is accessible and forthcoming. I am dedicated to working hard to make sure that our children reach their fullest potential in a safe and drug free environment.

  I will promise to represent this district in the utmost integrity and be a fair, honest and effective voice for the children in this community.

  I have been on the school board for the past four years and have represented you as I promised in placing the interests of the children first. I believe it is important to keep a business finance specialist and a rural area member on the board.

  I bring a unique perspective to balance the decision making process. Three of my children attend school in the district. I served in the military, also as a firefighter/medic, deputy sheriff, safety engineer, and college instructor. I hold a B.A., M.B.A., and a Ph.D. I currently own a medical consulting company and am a small business turnaround specialist.

  I will continue to be available to listen and respond to your questions and concerns. I would appreciate your vote and look forward to continue serving the citizens of the Tahoma School District.
