  Scott Floyd, 46, has been the Director for District 1 since being elected in 1999. He is a longtime resident of the Kent community. His wife and son are Kent graduates and his daughter is a junior at Kent Meridian High School. Scott is a computing Product Manager at The Boeing Company. He has been an active volunteer in the Kent School District for 13 years as a PTA president, member of the Kent Junior High Learning Improvement Team, Citizens Facilities Planning Committee, KSD Key Communicators, and as chair of the Citizens for Kent Schools Committee for 5 years. "If re-elected, I will continue to concentrate on improving academic achievement and I will maintain my focus on the budget, balancing cuts with student needs."
