Chris White — Nonpartisan

Over the past fifteen years I have worked hard as an advocate for children and public education and wish to continue by serving on the Kent School Board. The range of my experience includes working as an office/playground aide, meetings in the superintendent's office representing community partners, and speaking before 1,200 convention delegates as vice president of Washington State PTA. I currently volunteer on the board of Communities In Schools of Kent, supporting Kent students; on the South Community Council for United Way; for my church council; and as a mentor at Springbrook Elementary.

I believe our schools should have a safe, caring environment; eliminate the achievement gap while helping all children reach their full potential; use tax dollars responsibly; and create strong community/business partnerships that enhance public education. I will bring experience, integrity and compassion to the board and listen to the concerns of parents and the community.
