King County Local Voters Pamphlet

  As eastern King County becomes more urbanized, Eastside Fire & Rescue (EFR) needs to be acknowledged as this region's fire and emergency medical service provider of choice. To make that acknowledgement meaningful, a stable funding mechanism for the agency must be put in place. As a District 10 Fire Commissioner I will assist our EFR partners in finding a long term funding strategy that truly works for all of us. We already recognize that by working together as regional citizens we can ensure a higher quality of fire and emergency service, yet reduce costly duplication that occurs when each community tries to operate as a separate entity. I am committed to building on the foundation of trust that has been established between EFR partners and to encourage an even deeper commitment to the principles of cooperation that are so fundamental to this agency's future.
