When it comes to fire and rescue
services for our families obviously "good enough" just isn't.
I will provide direction and management
oversight on fiscal matters that will secure the best possible services for our
community. As an elected official in the commissioner's role I will bring a
fresh perspective to this important work.
I have shown a long-term commitment to
our community by participating in numerous volunteer efforts. I am also a
graduate of Bellevue Community College and the University of Washington with
dual bachelor degrees.
I will work to assure that our policies
and procedures are current with state and Federal standards and that our
equipment and firefighters are at the highest state of readiness. Let me
strengthen our district fire protection capabilities with savvy fiscal
management.
Please contact me anytime if I can
assist you. Thank you for your support.

I am a retired Mechanical Engineer, and
was a member of resident teams to create the Eastgate Regional Park, and to
obtain sewers and curbs throughout Eastgate. I am a lifetime member of the
Washington Fire Commissioners Association and have been a commissioner of King
County Fire Protection District #14 since 1965 when the district provided fire
protection to the city of Bellevue. During the ensuing years as large portions
of the district were being annexed to Bellevue, the district's three
commissioners coordinated with Bellevue, providing manpower, equipment and
facilities, to assure a continued, smooth transition and improvement of fire
and medical aid services for both the district and Bellevue. Because of this
long-time, cooperative coordination, the residents of the district now benefit
from the around-the-clock (24/7) fire and medical aid services not earlier
attainable.
As your commissioner I will continue
with that cooperative process.
