Candidates:

Henry Kramer — Nonpartisan

  Incumbent 12 years experience as Fire Commissioner District 44. World War II combat veteran (Purple Heart). Constantly voted against raising tax supported funding. Worked on all contracts with City of Auburn, King County Medic One and Muckleshoot tribe. Worked to implement long term program to replace 8 emergency vehicles, and cars, fire engines, tankers and brush fire units without going to the tax payers for additional funding or bond issues. Advocated and assisted in upgrading living quarters for full time and volunteer firefighters. Involved in implementing wide area computer network for management and record keeping. Worked with Fire Chief to increase day to day staffing to improve emergency response time. Voted for promotion of 2 lieutenants from within department. Ensured that firefighters had most reliable and modern emergency equipment with safety a high priority. Motto is spend taxpayer money judiciously.

Kenneth Seng — Nonpartisan

Kenneth Seng and his wife Joanne have made their home within Fire District 44 for 24 years. Ken spent 33 years working in public education and continues his service to the community as a member of the Board of Directors of Valley Cities Counseling and Consultation and the Puget Sound Educational Service District. Actively involved with Messiah Lutheran Church, he is again a member of the church council. Ken has been active in service clubs for 30 years and is a long time member of Valley Kiwanis where he takes particular interest in the Monday Night Supper and Student of the Month Programs.

As evidenced by his service to the community, he has the experience and commitment to be the best candidate for the position. Very significantly, Ken is endorsed by the Fire Fighters of District 44.
