Hello Voters. I grew up on Lake Sawyer. I've lived on Lawson Hill 13 years. I'm the mother of three children, my life's priority. I'm interested in honest, open government, responsible planning, children and public safety.

My image of Black Diamond is that of our grocery, Lawson Hill, the Coal Car, Lake Sawyer summers, Labor Day, my Uncle Jack Hope and Joe Androsko. I will preserve what's best for our town, encouraging citizens' safety. I'll work to create a thriving, viable business community to serve shopping and social needs. I don't like to travel long distances for groceries to meet my family's needs.

I'm alarmed at the loss of our local grocery, our pharmacy and with the lack of medical and other professional services in our town. I'll work to bring such services to our town while preserving our rural lifestyle with responsible, conscientious, open planning. Vote for 'Anna' November 4th!

A 20-year resident, CEO of a multi-million dollar company based in this city and a current council member, I bring experience, knowledge and a genuine concern for Black Diamond and its citizens.

The city faces some major developments from its three largest landowners: Black Diamond Associates, Plum Creek PLC and Palmer Coking Coal. As your councilman, I will ensure that these landowners cover all development costs, and not pass any expenses to taxpayers. I have and will continue to strive toward requiring new developments to pay for their impacts on our roads, infrastructure and other city services.

I also will continue to support smart, controlled growth that includes residential development coupled with an economic development plan that will bring businesses and revenue. As the population increases, economic development will have a greater chance of happening, bringing jobs, retail and much-needed sales tax dollars.

Please vote for me, Mario Sorci.
