During my last 5 years on the council, my focus has been on public safety and controlled growth. I support growth within the city, especially small businesses that will enhance our community and local employment opportunity, but we must maintain control of that growth to ensure that we continue to receive high quality service from our Police and Fire Departments and other city services. Growth will be controlled through implementation of a development rights program as well as zoning and master plan development regulations. Those programs must be carried forth, and I intend to see that they are.

I am strongly supported by the Fire Department and Police Department. I am a concerned citizen trying to allow for manageable, controlled growth while maintaining a safe and friendly rural atmosphere.

I've had my business in Black Diamond for the past 25 years. I've lived at Lake Sawyer for the past five years. I live and work here because I love our rural lifestyle. I'm a founder/board-member of our local bank. I worked hard to bring this bank into our community. I've worked with city youth, Seniors and local pastors on many community projects. I helped create our town's first Comprehensive Plan in 1979. I want to introduce a " How Can We Help You? " attitude at city hall. I won't tolerate hidden agendas in city government. As a city council-member, I will insist upon openness and transparency in government.

As a member of the Audubon Society and an avid bird-watcher, I am concerned about our environment. I will work for responsible planning for our rural future. Please call me if you'd like to share your thoughts with me.
