The position of Commissioner requires a steadfast
defender of the needs, expectations and financial assets of the ratepayers and
citizens of our district. As a representative of all of those serviced, I will
be a responsible defender.
Since becoming a Sammamish resident, our region has
witnessed a tremendous explosion of growth. The lifting of the building
moratorium in 2004 will require the augmentation of our water supplies from
other regional sources. I oppose the City of Sammamish taking over the
responsibilities of the current District Board - increasing the possible
imposition of a utility tax and leaving ratepayers living outside the city
limits without a vote. As Commissioner, I will work to provide the ratepayers
the cleanest and safest water along with the highest level of customer service.

B.S. Civil Engineering, Water
Resources, Cal Poly. Registered Civil Engineer.
My family and I have made a home on the
Plateau for 15 years, and I have watched this beautiful community change and
grow. I will bring to this position not only the desire to serve my community,
but also the knowledge and experience to identify and implement solutions to
the challenges it faces. I am willing to LISTEN to my constituents and COMMIT
to ensuring fair, equitable, and economical policies for all the District water
and sewer customers -- single family, multi-family, and commercial -- inside
and outside the Sammamish and Issaquah city limits.
I possess strong negotiation skills;
business, financial, and administrative knowledge, a love of community, and 15
years of water related engineering in the public and private sectors: water
quality and quantity planning, alternate energy resource studies, design and
construction, contracts administration, fishery and endangered species
projects.
