I have served Lakehaven's Board of Commissioners for six years. Since that time, many changes have happened in the district. Filtration is now being implemented at the well sites to filter out the impurities from our drinking water. Changes have also been made to further clean the wastewater leaving the treatment plants. The Utility is running very efficient at this time. My main goal for the next 6 years is to keep the district running efficient, which should keep the rates as low as possible. One other goal that I have is to help pass legislation allowing the people of a district to have the right to vote if the district should be taken over or assumed by a city that may be inside the district. An assumption of a district could drastically influence the water and sewer rates by added utility taxes.
