It would be my distinct privilege to serve the community as Commissioner for the Northshore Utility District, Position Number 3. For 13 years, I have been in business producing economic development projects across the country for state and local governments. I am married, with a daughter that is attending the University of Washington. I was born in the state of Washington and have lived most of my life here. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and have served in the military.

As a business owner, long-time resident, homeowner, and rate payer in the district, I would like the opportunity to speak and act on behalf of concerned citizens, businesses, and community groups and to provide sound management and positive leadership in this position. I pledge to be responsive to the needs of the rate payers. I will welcome your questions, comments, and suggestions. I ask for your vote.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your commissioner for the past six years. I made a promise to focus on conservation, reliability, fiscal responsibility, and disaster preparedness. After a committed effort I can report that earthquake-proofing our water tanks is nearly complete; a new long-term water supply survived court challenge and is now in the planning stage; and we received the highest bond rating of any district statewide recently. Also, I was elected chair of the Regional Water Conservation Committee and served for two years.

Having learned much about managing water and sewer utilities from the professionals, I am now qualified to oversee continuing improvements by staff. As Northshore's representative to the county's sewer advisory group and the elected vice chair of the SPU Water Purveyors, the district will need my experience while negotiating the new contracts with these regional providers. I would appreciate your vote.
