Carolyn has served on the Board of
Commissioners at Valley Medical Center for the past six years. She has
supported with great enthusiasm and dedication the changes and growth at Valley
Medical Center, including the addition of Valley Breast Center, The Center for
Joint Replacement, The WISH Center for bariatric surgery, and the Healing
Garden.
Carolyn is currently Secretary of the
Board. She also serves on the board of the Imaging Partners at Valley LLC and
the advisory board of Valley Breast Center, which is comprised of members from
the community and hospital staff. She also serves on the medical staff
credentialing committee.
Always committed and active in the
community, Carolyn is the former president of the West Hill Community Council
and now serves on the board of Renton Youth and Family Service (RAYS), Parent
advisory board, West Hill Enrichment Center, the West Hill Playday committee
and a member of Martin Luther King Memorial Baptist Church. Carolyn is an
educator and author. She and her husband Ernest have five children and three
grandchildren. Carolyn and her family reside in Renton, where she continues to
write in her spare time.
