Having been a resident of the Northshore area all my life has given me the opportunity to recognize the importance of making quality healthcare available on the Eastside. Then, as Commissioner on the Evergreen Hospital Board for many years now, I have been able to work for and see Evergreen grow from a small community Hospital into the major Medical Center that it is today. Besides all the other services that have been provided, Hospice Center, Family Maternity wing, Cancer Care and new Surgery Center just opened, we are now working with Overlake Hospital to develop a full line of Cardiac Care services and by working together we can provide the best Cardiac care possible to everyone on the Eastside. My goal as Commissioner is to continue the work to see Evergreen Hospital grow into a full service tertiary hospital providing a complete range of services for the community.
