I believe my responsibility is to ensure King County Hospital District #2 (Evergreen) provides quality care at reasonable costs. Evergreen is providing award-winning healthcare. Women and Family Health Services, Newborn critical care, and Hospice are just a few of the examples. The Physicians are first rate, working with great nurses. We have recently formed partnerships with Overlake Hospital to better serve the greater Eastside. As a lifelong resident, I am committed that our Hospital be there for us and our children. It is important to use our taxes to improve the health of our community. During my term on the Board, we have not increased our tax rate, but we have improved our level of care. Our tax dollars total about 4% of our operating budget and it is all invested back into the community. I ask for your support to continue our work to improve our healthcare.
