I am running for a second term on the Carnation City Council because I feel a responsibility to assist in the completion of a wastewater treatment system and in the planning needed for growth, in our local economy, basic services, senior and affordable housing while maintaining a small town atmosphere. There will be tough decisions, some sacrifice, but I want to be a part of it and I think I can help.

My life and career experiences have provided me with a strong foundation for this position. My professional career and volunteer efforts have been oriented to people, community and local government. Additionally, my five years on the Council, for me have been educational, challenging and rewarding, for you I have been visible for evaluation.

I have lived in Carnation twenty-seven years, am married to Shirley and we have five grown children. I welcome your support.

As a lifelong resident of Carnation, I have a great love for this community and enjoy the small town flavor. I'm raising my family here, served as a reserve police officer, and currently chair the Police Advisory Board. I believe that our local government's first priority should be to insure Public Safety. This is achieved by providing efficient and proactive police services. In a society where we're already over-taxed, we should not have to pay additional fees for this basic right. We each have to run a tight personal budget; we should demand the same fiscal responsibility from our city. Planning for the future must be a key priority to insure our prosperity. We must demand accountability, responsibility and integrity from our elected officials. As a council member, I will listen to your concerns and work diligently for the benefit of our community.
