Rebecca Clark — Nonpartisan

In the six years I have served on the Council I am proud to have delivered improvements like: sidewalks for children's safety, stoplights at dangerous intersections, increased police enforcement, a contingency fund and the purchasing of park properties. Soon we will have ball fields and a skateboard park, and grants were awarded to schools for needed playground equipment. All of this was accomplished without raising taxes!

I've worked with other jurisdictions on County wide issues like roads, highways, transit and water; and helped bring State and Federal dollars to South King County.

As Covington continues to grow new needs are developing. We need to tackle increasing traffic problems, provide more recreation, and improve economic development to provide jobs and keep taxes down.

I will continue to work hard for the citizens of Covington and help meet the needs of a city I'm proud to call home!

Bill Simpson — Nonpartisan

I think you should vote for a candidate that knows they will serve four years if elected. My wife and I decided in the middle of August that four years is longer than we want to commit to at this time.
