  Bob Sheckler's primary objective is protecting those he has been elected to serve. He remains committed to preventing the Third Runway's encroachment on our homes and schools, preserving our creeks and streams, and stopping any conveyor system through Des Moines Beach Park.

  Bob's vision of the redevelopment of Highway 99 between South 216^th and Kent-Des Moines Road will create a showpiece entrance to Des Moines, generate City revenues, and provide a safer environment.

As a goal-oriented professional and effective communicator, Bob is a decisive and proven advocate for property owners, senior citizens, parks and recreation, community policing, and economic development of our business core. Bob will ensure that Des Moines remains a strong and viable residential community that will not be compromised.

  As a responsible business owner for 15 years and a 22 year resident of Des Moines, I want to serve as your NEW council member. Times have changed and we need a city council that will work together to address ALL the problems facing our community. Instead of career politicians spending millions of dollars fighting a third runway, I believe new members will help the council refocus its priorities to protect our citizens from crime, resolve our transportation issues, streamline our building permit process, make our zoning laws more reasonable, and improve our schools. This is a good time for a positive change in Des Moines.
