As a City of Kenmore resident, I strive to make our community a safer and more desirable place to live. As a practicing attorney, I listen to my clients' concerns and work to resolve their conflicts. As a Kenmore city council member, I will bring my experience as a citizen and counselor to my seat to help balance family interests, including safety and beautification, while promoting the interests of local businesses to aid Kenmore's progress. We should maintain the parks, landscape, and roads while preserving the services the city already has to offer. We need to perpetuate the progress of this city by getting as many residents involved in the process as possible. The more input and ideas the council receives, the easier it will be to find solutions to any potential problems. It's time to get our children back on the playgrounds and the parents back in voting booths.

Glenn believes in clear communication between the citizens of Kenmore and the City government serving them. He is aware that many challenges face Kenmore, the most urgent of these being economic growth, increased traffic, implementation of a viable downtown plan and ensuring pedestrian safety. Glenn, a 20 year Kenmore resident, is chairman and co-founder of the Kenmore North Neighborhood Association whose focus is bridging "the disconnects" between neighborhoods and local government. As chairman of Citizens for a Better Kenmore he led a successful campaign before the city council to limit gambling in our city. Glenn has 29 years experience leading and team-building in the corporate setting, 5 of those years in retail and 24 in procurement at Boeing. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science and served in the Air Force. Glenn is experienced in seeking solutions in a team environment. Kenmore needs Glenn on the City Council.

Wanda Waldrop – Nonpartisan

My career in social and employment services demonstrates my ability in problem solving and communication skills that will make me a strong approachable leader. I am running for Kenmore City Council because I know I can do the job well by actively listening to residents and using their opinions in decision-making. I consider citizen input to be vital to the future of Kenmore. I feel we need to enhance communications to all citizens before proceeding with the master plan. I want to protect current business owners and procure new businesses for Kenmore. I will attempt to minimize the left-hand turn barriers that may strangle business and sever citizen and visitor access. I will scrutinize how our taxes are used and make sure that we are spending responsibly to keep our taxes from rising. I will do my best to serve the needs and desires of our diverse community.
