The residents of Lake Forest Park appreciate both the natural beauty of our City and the level of service city government provides.

Lake Forest Park can have a secure future. The character of our residential community and the soundness of City finances need not be sacrificed. Careful choices now can lead to future stability in the City services our residents expect. A balanced budget is a requirement of State law - a sustainable budget is good policy.

With a background in business, not bureaucracy, and 10 years experience as a City Councilmember, I know the coming impacts of initiatives, state legislative actions, and the struggling economy - and how they can be addressed over the short and long term. My experience, knowledge, hard work and straight talk matter more than ever.

With your vote on September 16, I will continue to work for those things that matter to our community.

Every resident's and property owner's voice and vote is more important than mine. I believe in frugal, efficient government and minimal intrusion into the citizen's daily life. I am adamant about preserving the quality of life in our community despite the never ending and seemingly more invasive city, county, state and federal dictates about how we will live it and with whom. I also will try to insure that our city governing processes are totally transparent for any curious or concerned citizen.

Only Mayor Dave Hutchinson offers real leadership, experience and results. Since 1996, Dave has served Lake Forest Park well by: Watching the Bottom Line - Dave has provided LFP with responsible stewardship of city resources for more than seven years. He has balanced budgets and built reserves, even in the most difficult economic times, and while our population has grown by nearly 400%. Building A Strong Community - A 34-year resident, Dave has worked hard to keep LFP safe and livable. Results of his leadership include: doubling the number of city parks, increasing teen and after-school programs, reorganizing the municipal court, involving citizens in a new public safety commission, building a new city hall, and creating new senior housing opportunities.

Dave and Frances Hutchinson recently celebrated their 44^th wedding anniversary. Together they have three children and four grandchildren.
