Marcie Palmer – Nonpartisan |
A
Renton resident for over 20 years, I've been a committed volunteer in our
municipal government, public schools and neighborhood for many years. I believe
I can make a positive difference for Renton as our city moves forward. I
appreciate the important role of local government and have the proven
leadership to make it work. As Chairman of the Renton Airport Advisory
Committee, PTA President, and Vice President of the Kennydale Neighborhood
Association, I have experienced the positive impact residents can make for the
community when complex issues are addressed with an open mind and a clear understanding
of all the facts.
If
elected, I will work diligently to promote economic development in the city
through the continued revitalization of key business districts, protect the
community by maintaining high-quality police and fire departments, work towards
resolving transportation concerns in a fiscally responsible way, and maintain
the excellence of our parks programs.
