Masters in Business Administration, UW; Bachelors in Microbiology, UW; Shoreline Bond Advisory Committee; Small-business owner on Aurora Avenue; Shoreline property owner; Children's Ministry; Mother of three students in Shoreline Schools and UW.

Shoreline is blessed with people who care passionately about their community and neighborhoods. Shoreline deserves City Councilmembers who will represent the visions of the people and put the best interest of this community before anything else. They should be elected to truly serve the citizens.

I want Shoreline to stay affordable and livable. We need a strong, healthy, and attractive business environment to sustain our business tax base and avoid shifting the tax burden to homeowners. To maintain house values, we must keep Shoreline schools strong and ensure adequate funding ability for their programs.

I will listen, work hard, and respond to the needs of Shoreline residents. Remember to vote and show your support for a livable Shoreline.

It would be a shame if all Shoreline City Council members were elected solely on the issue of how extensive Aurora Avenue should be remodeled. There are other issues requiring a solution that are affecting all of us more personally, which include: . Why does the city of Shoreline make more money when our utility bills are higher? The indexing of utility taxes should be reformed. . Why don't we elect our own Mayor? I feel the citizens should choose one directly. . Why are we paying for a light-rail plan when it won't come to Shoreline? Shoreline citizens will pay millions each year for 30 years and get nothing. . Why did our property taxes rise 17% this year, and we reduced our funding for sidewalks and limited other services?

There are many more issues that need answers and we deserve better choices.

Thank you for voting and preserving democracy.

Shoreline has been my home and place of work for over 30 years. My family moved into the area in 1973 so our children could attend the Shoreline Public Schools. I am currently employed by the Shoreline School District as an Assistant Principal at Shorewood High School. I am also a Vietnam veteran.

Shoreline is a wonderful city that is known for its outstanding schools and friendly community. My goal, as the incumbent, is to improve upon what we already have and still maintain fiscal responsibility with your tax dollars.

My primary focus will be to continue to develop programs and facilities that will improve the quality of life for everyone in Shoreline. I envision a city that is safe, attractive, clean, a fun place to live and work, and where there is a wide variety of activities available for citizens of all ages.
