I have lived in Snoqualmie for sixteen years and served as a Snoqualmie City Council Member for six years. While serving as Council Member I worked hard to anticipate the needs of residents and businesses when planning for growth. I was fortunate enough to be on all five committees while on the Council. Public Safety and Finance were my favorites. I also spent a term on the Planning Commission. This group outlines the goals of the city for the future on issues like zoning, design review, variances and most importantly, the comprehensive plan. I believe we must maintain a properly funded police and fire department. Fiscal responsibility must be achieved while still providing necessary services. There must be continuing efforts to reduce flooding in the Valley. Whether you live in Snoqualmie Ridge or Historic Snoqualmie, we need to work together. I have the experience and would appreciate your support.

My wife and I have been residents of Snoqualmie for 3 years. What originally attracted us to this wonderful community was the open space, parks, trails, and small town feel that make it an ideal place to raise a family. I am running for City Council to continue that path. Specifically, I am focused on three main areas. First, ensure that parks, trails, athletic fields and bike paths continue to expand in ways that meet our entire community's needs. This includes the building of a Community Center and Pool which I have supported as a member of the Community Center Campaign. Second, as an entrepreneur, I support small business revitalization programs and will look for creative ways to promote business both downtown and on the Ridge. Third, I am going to utilize my business experience and objective approach to addressing all issues that impact the city as a whole.

I ask that you support my candidacy and allow me to continue to be your voice on the Snoqualmie City Council.

I have demonstrated my ability to ask tough questions and make firm commitments. I have been recognized as a strong leader and presently serve as mayor pro tem and Chairperson of the Finance and Administration Committee. I promote fiscally sound decision-making to manage growth in our community.

I believe city government's responsibility is to utilize tax revenues wisely and efficiently provide services that benefit the community. after all, it is your money. By clarifying our goals and utilizing proper planning procedures we can maintain desired levels of service, provide necessary improvements and retain the flavor of our community.

I ask to return to council where my knowledge of municipal processes and experience will enable me to serve you again.
