If you are not a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem. The problems of Tukwila boil down to money. The city has a spending problem that must be addressed now before it is allowed to grow. Tukwila needs a council that will cut discretionary spending, prioritize capital expenditures, eliminate debt, and operate by serving the people and not the other way around.

I have the qualifications necessary to be your council person. I am a life-long Tukwila resident and student in all of the area's schools. I have received recognition during terms of service as a national student congress delegate and serving as treasurer, secretary, and committee chairman for Theta Xi Fraternity as a motivated and skilled leader. I am currently the secretary/treasurer for Benny's Riverside Inn, a Tukwila fixture since 1965.

I am your solution to our problem. Thank you.

In my years on the Council, I have learned much about Tukwila's wonderful diversity of caring, concerned citizens. I believe we share a common vision for a safe, healthy community.

The joint efforts of residents, business, and police have dramatically decreased Tukwila's crime rate. Soon the "new" Tukwila International Blvd. will attract new development and "family-friendly" businesses to our community.

Although the economy is still in a slump, we must now plan for the future to ensure the continued vitality of our city. We should protect and improve our residential neighborhoods while we also develop a plan for the future of the Southcenter business area.

I will continue to be an independent, energetic voice for the citizens of Tukwila, on the Council and in the region. Four years ago, I pledged my hard work and continuing commitment to the Tukwila community. Today, I renew that pledge.
