Dennis graduated from Highline High School, served 6 years in the Air Force and earned his Economics and MBA degrees from the University of Washington. He worked as a manager at Boeing and Weyerhaeuser and served on the Tukwila City Council from 1987 to 1995. At that time the most important city issue was protecting our residential neighborhoods and sensitive areas from commercial development. Dennis fought hard to create new, safe zoning for our neighborhoods.

Today, the biggest problem is city overspending and budget deficits that threaten vital services like police and fire. Dennis will work to balance the budget and ensure our neighborhood zoning continues to protect us. He'll go to our neighborhoods, listen to our citizens, do his homework, ask hard questions and use his experience to: Protect and improve our residential neighborhoods; Balance the City's budget while saving personnel and programs; Simplify city processes that affect citizens.

Since my election to the City Council four years ago, I have worked to ensure continual improvement of the quality of life, safety and "livability" of our community. I support the following items: 1. A well equipped and trained Police and Fire Dept. 2. A first class Parks and Recreation programs and facilities. 3. Support for Tukwila Village. 4. Affordable Senior housing. 5. Obtaining a more comfortable and safer transportation system for our recreation participants, especially for our Seniors. 6. Continued partnership with our business community to ensure we remain economically competitive and financially sound to enable the City to continue in its community building efforts.

Tukwila has a remarkable team of talented staff, elected officials and caring citizens. Together we have created a great harmonious partnership whose goal is making Tukwila a great place to live and work. I ask for your support to continue this effort.
