Poll site results are expected to come in later this year.
New
certification requirements mean the county will not modem results from King County's
508 polling places. Instead, poll results will be directly uploaded beginning around
10 p.m. and continue until 98-to-100 percent of polling places are reported online.
As the 12th largest county in the nation, King County's polling places span 2,134
square miles which includes Vashon Island. Staff expect it will take poll workers
extra time close the polls with new, accessible voting units and additional time
to drive results to the tabulation center near downtown Seattle.

Though
poll results will come in later on Election Day, the change will improve overall
security and accountability of unofficial election night results.

The
posting of absentee ballots counted will not be affected.

Canvassing Board meetings are open to the public and held at the Temporary Elections
Annex located at 9010 E. Marginal Way in Tukwila.
