Fred W. POE
My wife and I have lived in the Auburn area for 38 of the last 40 years.  Achieving a balance of reasonable growth, livability and economic vitality in a rapidly growing community is, at best, difficult.  As a retired business owner and council member the past 4 years, I am keenly aware of the frustrations and expense people experience when trying to build or remodel.  The City needs to provide user friendly services, adequate levels of police and fire protection, improve traffic conditions and continually upgrade utilities.  With the new library under construction, the next priorities are to upgrade the senior center and facilitate downtown improvements.  City facilities, such as fire stations, police, court and jail improvements, will be necessary with growth and annexations.  I will continue to represent the citizens of Auburn with a sense of fairness to all.
