Stacey Brothers demonstrated his commitment to
protecting Auburn's neighborhoods as a city councilman.
He opposed taxpayers subsidizing the cost of
new developments in our community. And
Brothers contested the chaotic spread of gambling locally.
Councilman Brothers fought for the
development of Game Farm, Wilderness, Isaac-Evans, Lakeland Hills, Viewpoint,
Mill Pond, Roegner and Cameron Parks.
And he chaired the effort to increase Auburn's police personnel by 35%
and to construct two new fire stations.
"I am concerned by the lack of vision
at city hall. Auburn's growth has
resulted in heavy congestion. And the
current "freeze" on new parks is occurring at the same time Auburn is
experiencing phenomenal growth. These
short-sighted policies are potentially harmful to Auburn's quality of
life."
Stacey Brothers, 51, has two school-age
children. A UW graduate, and a Viet Nam
era veteran, Brothers is a senior marketing executive with a pension
administration firm.
