Darrel

GORDON

    Darrel Gordon, an engineering consultant, (B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Cal State Polytechnic University) worked 38 years for General Electric Company.  An area resident for 15 years, he has 3 children, 6 grandchildren and has been married to Marge 44 years.

    Community Involvement:  Auburn youth baseball coach, Junior Achievement, Lions Club, American Legion, Salvation Army, Gideons International and Calvary Temple Church.

    Priorities:  Greater police protection for citizen safety.  Auburn should be drug-free and auto-theft-free.  Improvement in quality and safety of Auburn schools including rising performance scores.  Develop a traffic by-pass plan reducing congestion and improving street safety.

    Personal Views:  Darrel Gordon is invested in Auburn and has 3 grandchildren in Auburn schools.  He endorses a compassionate growth management policy to insure continuance of the family friendly attributes of Auburn to benefit all its citizens, businesses and neighbors.  His past management experiences qualify him to address these opportunities for improvement.

Trish

BORDEN

    Elected in 1991, Trish has the experience to deal with the growth issues that face Auburn's residents.  She is an independent thinker who has shown her commitment to managing growth.  Recently, she stood up against the development of more gambling casinos in Auburn.  Trish is currently working to ensure that when we have new growth, it shares fairly in the cost of new schools, parks and traffic improvements.

    She continues to work for a better environment for young people in Auburn, supporting parks, voting for a curfew, developing a new library and working with the school district to make Auburn more safe.

    An Auburn resident of 22 years, Trish manages an organization that helps businesses employ people with disabilities.  She is proud of our community and wants to keep it a healthy place to raise a family and retire.  Re-elect Trish Borden and keep her working for us.
