    With rapid growth occurring in Bothell, we need to find additional resources to support Police, Fire and emergency services without increasing taxes. By staying within budget and having a successful business environment, we can increase available resources.

    My highest priorities are improving city fiscal effectiveness, supporting new business opportunities to increase revenue, finding solutions to traffic congestion and encouraging citizen involvement in the community.

    As a member of city council, I will listen objectively, know the facts and make decisions with integrity. I will work for the citizens' of Bothell to maintain the quality of our neighborhoods and enhance our community.

    Professionally, I have twenty years of business experience in financial planning, project management, contract negotiations and computer technology. My knowledge, experience and dedication will serve you well to keep Bothell as a great place to live.

    I respectfully ask for your vote.

PRIORITIES: Growth - State mandated Growth Management Act is often misunderstood. As a real estate broker, I've seen its complexities. If properly applied, it can be a tool to help, not hinder, Bothell's growth. Fiscal - A fiscal conservative, I'll review city projects for possible cost savings. Youth - Children are our most valuable asset. Helping them become responsible citizens is one area where money spent is not wasted. I've chaired the Eagles youth activity committee and chaperoned high school dances.

PERSONAL: Washington native with family ties to Bothell from the 1920's. BA, Business, with honors (WSU, 1961). Work for CPA firms, IBM and UNIVAC. Retired Federal Congressional Investigator. Aspiring novelist and award winning poet, named to Bothell Library Board in 1994. Frequent volunteer at Northshore Senior Center. Member - American Legion, Eagles, Mensa and Pacific Northwest Writers Conference. Marilyn and Dave are 22 year residents of Bothell, have 5 children and many grandchildren.
