    Bothell has been our home since 1980 and a great place to raise our family for many reasons including our great neighborhoods, schools, the business community and our natural environment. Our ability to sustain and improve the quality of life that we enjoy in Bothell for future generations will require careful protection of these valuable community resources.

    As a participant in city council and planning commission meetings since 1987 I've seen the benefits of citizen participation and will continue to support your involvement as we address critical issues including neighborhood traffic, parks, development regulations and taxes. I will also support a solid economic base within our city to provide financial resources necessary to offer the services and amenities that our citizens expect.

    I will commit the experience of my twenty-five year business career and my personal integrity to be an outspoken leader of our community.

    Currently I serve Bothell as a member of the Planning Commission, and professionally I am a Communications Specialist.

    There are unique challenges ahead of us. It will be important to strike a balance between preserving a small town lifestyle and solving the demands of growth. Among my priorities are to preserve our quality of life, improve the city's financial position, address traffic impacts, and support police, fire and emergency services. It is important to have responsible community development so we can provide affordable services that do not raise taxes.

    In order to accomplish this, my past experiences will work for you in building an economically viable and safe community, and in forging the partnerships needed to find workable solutions to our city's current challenges.

    I stand by my record as a Planning Commissioner and respectfully ask for your vote this November.
