CITY OF CLYDE HILL COUNCIL POS. NO. 05

Philip G.

ROURKE

For ten years it has been my good fortune to be Clyde Hill's Mayor.  Working with a new Mayor, I hope to smooth the transition as a member of the City Council.

During the past decade, we made a community decision to join the County Library District and enacted a view and tree ordinance.  Our Planning Commission wrote a Comprehensive Plan and revised the Municipal Code.  The Public Works Department enforced the Building Code and maintained and improved roads and storm drains.  We developed our community policing effort and provided a new Police facility within a remodeled City Hall.  Clyde Hill played a key role in plans for expanded cross-lake travel and made successful efforts in concert with other Points towns.

I look forward to Council work and am enthusiastic about George Martin as our prospective Mayor.  Together we can assure Clyde Hill's future as a quality residential community.
