List of Candidates for
CITY OF MAPLE VALLEY COUNCIL POS. NO. 02
:

Clark

LEHIGH

Clark's priorities will be to listen to the citizens of Maple Valley.  As a board member of the Maple Valley Citizens Group, we were able to work with City Council Members and Planning Commissioners to consider an appropriate re-zone of the 50 acres of forest across from Rock Creek Elementary School, prior zoning was industrial now proposed mixed-use.

Growth Management:  Clark will strive to keep any increases in population modest and only after Maple Valley's infrastructure is improved.  Traffic congestion must be addressed prior to any future development.

As a former Planning Commissioner of Maple Valley, Clark has proven he listens to the people.  He voted no on the third commercial node.

Clark believes a rural setting is possible for Maple Valley, and necessary to maintain our current quality of life for our families.

Victoria

JONAS

Victoria began a door-bell ringing campaign to learn first hand, what the citizens had to say about Maple Valley.  She was successful in receiving a wealth of information and as a Council member, she will continue to listen.

Victoria is committed to maintaining Maple Valley's unique identity.  She will diligently work toward developing accountable solutions to improve transportation, promote comprehensive planning and balanced growth, and will encourage results-oriented and responsive local government that puts citizens first.

As an "active council watcher," Victoria firmly believes maintaining the "status quo" with the current City Council is not in the best interest of Maple Valley or its citizens.  That's why she is running for Position #2.  "We must elect council members who are truly committed to their elected positions, actively participate in meetings and who truly represent the citizens of our city" -- this is Victoria's commitment to you -- the citizens of Maple Valley.
