Paul B. DEMITRIADES
Anne and Paul Demitriades and pets, have lived in Medina for 23 years.  Paul, a Seattle native, has B.A./M.P.A. degrees from the University of Washington; a Visiting Committee member, Dan Evans Graduate School of Public Affairs.  Paul retired in 1991, after a successful 32 year career as a senior Boeing Co. executive.     An incumbent Council member (Public Works/Public Safety Committees):  served 6 years as Chair/member Medina Civil Service Commission.     My priorities are:  1) preservation/protection of Medina's unique livability/natural environment; 2) local/regional transportation solutions to congestion-that work; 3) conservative approach to city's fiscal matters-restrain spending-maintain a surplus; 4) public safety-continue support to Police Department improvements; 5) open government-keep citizens informed-encourage broader participation in city affairs.     Paul is a member:  advisory board Municipal League of King County; board, Evergreen chapter American Society for Public Administration; and the American Society for Quality.
