Steve Brown Brings New Ideas to our
Schools.
Steve, an attorney, left his law practice to
start an innovative program for 4th through 12th graders called kidLAW(r). Taking children's books as texts, Steve
conducts classroom "mock trials" of famous literary characters like
Dr. Frankenstein and the Cat in the Hat.
These "trials" develop reading, debate and communication
skills, and knowledge of the law.
Steve Brown is Committed to Our Schools.
"I am running for the School Board because I want
our children to have the best education we can give them. John Stanford gave us a unique boost. It is our challenge to keep that momentum
going by ensuring that: • Every school
is a safe place to learn and teach. •
Every classroom has a quality teacher.
• Every child has an opportunity to learn. • Everyone in our community works together to help each and every
child succeed."
Steve's
endorsers include former School Board members Linda Harris and Al Sugiyama, the
Seattle P-I, Reps. McIntire and Sommers, and education and community leaders
Sally Chong, Lisa Bond, Betty Hoagland, Pat Griffith, Hayward Evans and Ruth
Woo. Municipal League Rating -
