ISAMAN

During the last four years, it has been my privilege and honor to represent you on the Federal Way School Board.  It has been a time of tremendous change and serious challenge to ensure that public education works to deliver students ready for their future.

As we undertake a new millennium, our schools are working hard to meet the ever increasing demands of a more complex work place.  Limited resources must be carefully used to satisfy both our needs and our ability to pay for them.  While I'm proud of our efforts, we continue to strive for improvement.

Having served as board vice-president, president, and legislative representative, I have a greater appreciation for the challenges ahead.  I'm excited about the opportunities, and look forward to the future with tremendous enthusiasm.

Your vote to help me continue, with the belief that all students can succeed, is greatly appreciated.

David E.

BOVELA

DAVID E. BOVELA IS A PARENT WHO WILL REPRESENT PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND STUDENTS.  New solutions must be applied to the new problems of our school district.  I feel a need and a right to participate in my child's education as should all parents.

I was shocked when I read that the Federal Way School District was ordered to reimburse $190,000 in STATE AND FEDERAL MONIES earmarked for children who live in poverty and those with poor reading skills.  ALL CHILDREN HAVE A RIGHT TO AN EDUCATION despite their financial need or disabilities.  I praise those teachers and volunteers who have taken extra steps to reach those students.

As your representative I promise to represent all members of the community with purpose for the future.  The children are the future.

    Thank you for your support.
