MARY KENFIELD is known for her ability to get the job done and her positive 'can-do' attitude.  Mary's vision, leadership and experience have gained her community-wide support.     MARY will work for strong academic success for all students.  She is committed to quality public education.  As a board member, Mary will focus on strong communications, creative solutions and financial responsibility.     MARY, a wife and mother of four, has 20 years' experience in public education as well as a strong business and management background.  A dedicated volunteer and tutor, she is a two-time recipient of the FWSD Outstanding Volunteer Award.  She has been a leader on school leadership teams, policy committees, scouts, PTA, church, Youth Violence Prevention task forces and Chamber of Commerce leadership teams.     MARY believes education is the most important investment we can make in our community.  Her priority:  excellent schools now, and in the future. Ann MURPHY
I am a Certified Public Accountant with a BA in Finance and Accounting and two young children attending public schools.  It has been an honor serving as your elected school board director the past six years.     As a CPA I'm in a unique position to guide budgetary issues.  Over the last several years we have decreased local levy taxes collected per student.  As support for I-695 indicates, citizens just can't afford ever increasing taxes that government administrations advocate.     I believe that the mission of K-12 education is to provide every child with a strong foundation in academic disciplines and the hope that this knowledge brings to their futures.  I am also an advocate of quality music, sports and vocational programs.     As your Strong Independent Voice on the board, I have fought hard to bring back Letter Grades and give parents and teachers meaningful roles in educational decisions.  Re-elect Ann Murphy!
