PINA

Great public schools are vital for the Highline community.  My wife and I are 1979 graduates of the Highline District, and are raising our family here.  My background is in Business Finance and Information Systems.  As a board member, my efforts will be guided by what is best for kids.

Challenging Academic Programs for All Kids.  Our schools must challenge ALL students including gifted and those needing special education.  They should be enriched with athletics, music, arts, career exploration; and supported with appropriate technology.

Safe and Sound Learning Environment.  We must strive to reduce noise and improve air quality in schools impacted by the airport; and to prevent further impacts.  We must provide earthquake-safe structures and a healthy, violence-free environment.

Budget to Maximize Student Achievement.  We must attract and retain quality staff.  We must supply contemporary learning materials, and standardize on programs demonstrating progress toward student achievement goals.
