WACKER

    MONEY=Problems=Solutions=MONEY.  We must seek balanced equitable funding to insure delivery of quality educational services.  La Nita's experience:   B.A. Philosophy/Music, University of Puget Sound; precinct committee person; state convention delegate; PTA legislative assembly; SKCBR Political Affairs Committee Chair; Real Estate Broker twenty five years.  These skills can be used to seek solutions for funding problems.  TIME is MONEY.

    Negotiator.  Trouble-shooter.  Problem-solver.  La Nita asks questions YOU want; sets priorities that insure FAIR spending.

    La Nita Jordan Wacker, Shoreline resident 1964-1999.  Sister, Karola Jordan, 1966 Shorecrest graduate; sons Paul, 1981; Ted 1983; Doug 1997; daughter Tracie 1999.

    La Nita has served as math tutor, PTA art docent, music fund-raiser; sports booster.  MUST re-direct existing dollars to classrooms:  "Waste not; Want not;" "A penny saved is a penny earned" mandatory by-words.

    La Nita will act as Superintendent's eyes and ears; People's VOICE; Taxpayer's watchdog.

Paul M.

GRACE

    Paul Grace helped to develop and is deeply committed to the school district's goals of improving the achievement levels of all students, enhancing student learning through the use of technology, addressing the district's changing demographics and diversity, enhancing operational efficiency, providing a safe learning environment, and strengthening the involvement of and partnerships with parents, community, public agencies and businesses.  Paul Grace was appointed to the board of directors in 1996, elected by the citizens of Shoreline and Lake Forest Park in 1997, and is currently the board's President.  He and his family have been residents of Shoreline since 1987; his two daughters are graduates of Shoreline schools.  In addition to his professional experience as a mediator and arbitrator, Paul Grace brings to the school board many years of labor-management experience as union representative and manager with large public agencies.
