Tim BARCLAY
My family is not unique.  We live in Northshore because of the strong schools.  We look forward to the opportunities our children will have as they move toward graduation in 2007, 2010, and 2016.  I am committed to encouraging and supporting continuous improvement of Northshore's educational programs.     Northshore is moving towards a standards-based education that clearly defines what students are expected to know and do in various subject areas.  A tremendous amount of work needs to be done to help us determine "how good is good enough" to comply with the Certificate of Mastery program.  Enhancements are needed to help our teachers align their curriculum and instructional strategies with the standards.  Our goal is to provide a curriculum appropriate for every student and maximize the number of students who meet and exceed those standards.  I am willing to do what it takes to meet this goal.
