MURGATROYD

As your current Commissioner, I've been active in protecting the interests of you, our customers.  Explosive growth means we need to insure developers pay their fair share.  I'm proud to have led the analysis of our general facilities charges so that new development won't be subsidized by our existing ratepayers.  I also voted for our new well, which will keep your rates lower.  The Cascade Water Alliance, a new entity designed to replace Seattle as our water source, wants to charge our water district over $800,000 to join.  We'd also have to sell our well to the CWA, but have no ownership rights in return.  I'm fighting the CWA until we get a fair deal and no entry charge.  As a lawyer and actuary with my own business, I have the professional training, experience and commitment to represent you as Commissioner.  I ask for your vote.

RESETAR

My goal as Water District 90 Commissioner will be to assure that the operation of the water district is run as efficiently as possible, with no waste of the ratepayer's money.  I have lived and raised my family in the district for over 22 years.  During this time I have watched my water bills go from a small incidental bill to a major monthly budgetary expense.  Enough is enough.  We are now to the point where we must think twice before we water the lawn or wash the car.  Granted, things have changed over the years and many new laws have resulted in significant increased costs.  Although these increases are unavoidable, other increases may not be.  As Commissioner, I will work to assure that you, the ratepayer, are getting the full value for every dollar you pay in fees to the water district.
