WOODINVILLE WATER COMMISSIONER POS. NO. 05

Ken E.

GOODWIN

The Woodinville Water District needs an experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated commissioner to continue addressing issues such as; water rates, salmon recovery efforts impacting our water supply, Seattle water supply negotiations, the Snohomish River Water Supply Project, and other important issues.

As a CPA, I have been able to apply my financial skills and ensure water rates are fair and equitable.  I have applied leadership skills and have been recognized by my peers as; State Association of Sewer and Water Districts Vice President, Water and Sewer Insurance Pool Treasurer, Woodinville Water District President, and a TriCounty Salmon Recovery Task Force member.  Having been the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce President, Northshore's School District Levy Committee Chairman, and a Cascadia Community College Presidential Advisory Committee member, I am familiar with the issues of our community.

If returned to the district, I will continue to provide you with reliable, abundant, clean and affordable water.

CALL

The cost of our water is getting out of line.  As commissioner my main objectives will be keeping water rates low and service levels high.

I have lived in the Woodinville area since 1980.  The amount of growth in that time has put our water supply in jeopardy.  We must find new water resources in the next few years to stay current with the growing demand.

These tasks are complex, not easy.  I will work with the community, elected officials, and consultants to find a solution.  We must all do our part.  That’s why I am running for this position and that’s why I AM ASKING FOR YOUR VOTE.
