VAL-VUE SEWER DISTRICT COMMISSIONER POS. NO. 01
:

Joseph T.

COLELLO

First, thank you for the privilege of serving as your Sewer Commissioner these past six years.  I'm proud of our record of cost cutting and improved efficiency.

I supported the merger of the Val-Vue and Rainier Vista Sewer District as well as reducing the number of Commissioners from six to three, resulting in approximately $150,000 in savings per year.

I'm a member of the Washington Association of Water and Sewer Districts, the Water Environmental Federation, the Boulevard Park Code Enforcement Committee, and the Boulevard Park Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Committee.

Our district rates are one of King County's lowest.  As a business owner and resident of the district for over 50 years, I hope to continue the work we have started.

I ask for your vote as Sewer Commissioner so that together we can continue our proud record of service and cost efficiency.

    Thank you.

David L.

RUITER

I am 59 and have lived in this area for over 30 years.

As the incumbent Commissioner for Position One, I have served Val-Vue Sewer District for 12 years.

During this service I have taken continuing education classes to help improve the Sewer District while protecting the environment.  I have also, served as President of the Board for two years, been active in the Washington State Sewer Association, and the National Water Environment Federation.

As your experienced Commissioner, approaching retirement, I have both the time and qualifications to continue to serve.  In addition, I have developed a good working relationship with my fellow commissioners.  I will continue to see that ratepayers receive fair treatment and easy  access to the Board.  My top priority is to represent the ratepayers best interests in making policy decisions, by keeping sewer rates as low as possible, while running an efficient, well maintained solvent district.

    Thank You.
