Donald P. PUTMAN
Don has lived in Federal Way for eight years, is married to a wonderful wife and blessed with four great kids.  He served in the Air Force, was honorably discharged and currently works as a cancer therapist.  Don spends time working with youth in his church and community.     Don knows the next few years are critical in how our community and City grow.  Federal Way's diverse population gives opportunity for community building through respect, acceptance and listening to people.  Don believes that we have an opportunity to bring jobs to our city and enlarge our tax base by encouraging businesses to locate in our community.  He also believes our children and citizens deserve safe schools, safe streets and a safe community.  The City should partner with the schools, the churches and businesses to encourage growth, help at-risk populations and improve our community through cooperation. Dean McCOLGAN
Dean McColgan cares about our community.  That's why he's asking for your vote.     "I will attack our critical problems:  Traffic Congestion - I will implement cost-effective programs to solve our city's traffic nightmare.  Taxes - I oppose irresponsible tax increases that threaten our business community and senior citizens.  Budget - I will maintain a conservative budget and be fiscally responsible.  I will work to make our city a safe and active place to live.     "My many years of local business experience, community involvement, and volunteerism qualify me to be your Councilmember."     Dean McColgan is a 20 year resident and business owner.  He has a long history of community involvement, 10 years as a volunteer youth coach and six years as a Parks Commissioner.  He is a Boys and Girls Club and American Little League board member.  He has chaired the city's Sports Field Committee representing it on the Civic Investment Committee.
