As a resident and family member of Renton for over 45 years, Terry has contributed much of his time in supporting family values that make our community a place we can say we are proud to live in. He has invested much of his time and resources in improving the livability of our community. Residents who believe that the current City Council's priorities are not in line with the community, have asked Terry to run for office. City taxes on utilities (Water, telephones, gas and electricity) are the first tax items that must be eliminated. Our elderly and young families can ill afford these additional charges. We need a City Council that is pro-family and will take the time to understand what the needs of our communities are. Terry will work to make sure that your tax dollars are used in a manner that meet your requirements. Please support.

CARLSON

    Heidi Carlson is a proven leader. As Founder of Highlands Community Association, a non-profit corporation, she steered East Renton into a course that includes neighborhoods taking pride, cleaning up, and pulling together. The results of her efforts are clear and ongoing.

    Heidi was born and raised in Renton, and is a graduate of the University of Washington. She is committed to her hometown, a city still small enough to respond to its citizens, and large enough to provide diversity.

    Economic development is the first order of business for Renton. With a population nearing 50,000, goods and services need to be available here.

    However, neighborhoods must be protected from the urban sprawl, traffic nightmares, and infrastructure problems that plague cities in which growth is left unmanaged: Intelligent growth, intelligent zoning, nothing less for Renton, our gem of a city.
