List of Candidates for
CITY OF SNOQUALMIE COUNCIL POS. NO. 04
:

Carol R.

PETERSON

Carol and husband, Charles, have lived in Snoqualmie for 35 years and raised two children there.  Carol is a nationally recognized author and herbalist who has followed the issues of the City throughout these 35 years.  Her volunteer activities include forming a local hospital, school levies, scouts, little league sports, church, credit union, garden clubs, League of Women Voters and many more.  Carol's interest in the City includes the inclusiveness and integration of the newer Snoqualmie Ridge residents and the citizens of the older community.  This will take considerable effort to maintain openness and understanding among all citizens who come from very different backgrounds and lifestyles.  Continuing to seek a resolution to the growing concerns of the flood plain in Snoqualmie is of special concern.  Possibilities of grants for river widening or dredging as well as raising homes out of the flood plain are crucial to the survival of downtown Snoqualmie.

Marcia

KORICH-VEGA

Marcia Korich-Vega has lived in Snoqualmie for twenty years.  A native of the Pacific Northwest, Marcia chooses to live here because of the small-town atmosphere and rural setting.  She is employed as a radiologic technologist at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue and is presently serving as chair on the Shoreline Hearings Board for the City of Snoqualmie.  Marcia has regularly attended City Council and Planning Commission meetings since 1994.  Since she lives in the flood plain and has had her own home flooded four times she has been most concerned with flood control issues.  Development in nearby cities and in the local urban growth area is also an issue that Marcia watches closely.  Marcia has the determination to do the job and the energy to devote to this position on the city council.
