JEANETTE
GREENFIELD emphatically supports
keeping District tax rates at the lowest possible levels, while maintaining the
District's high bond rating, and fiscally sound management practices. Her commitment to all District residents has
assured them affordable, high quality healthcare is readily available.
An experienced healthcare Commissioner,
Jeanette Greenfield constantly looks for the best way to allocate scarce
resources for the greater public good.
With Jeanette this means respecting patient choices, preserving
patient-physician confidentiality, balancing community diversity with
individual spiritual beliefs, and effectively complying with complex,
regulatory restrictions.
Born and raised in Seattle's Wedgwood
neighborhood, Jeanette moved to Kirkland in 1984. Greenfield has a Masters in Business Administration and Masters
Certificate in Legal Strategies. An
advocate of people living healthy lives through responsible choices, she
founded the Washington Safety Restraint Coalition, passing the 1986 seatbelt
law. Jeanette was publicly recognized
for changing community norms and legal attitudes towards drinking and driving
as Executive Director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Greenfield is Consultant to the
Northshore/Shoreline Community Network, and Shoreline School District's Safe
and Drug Free Schools program. Jeanette
was appointed as Commissioner in 1998 because of her professional board
experience, collaborative expertise, and lengthy years of community
volunteerism.
